Basis is a pay-over-time financing solution that helps you pay for your dental bills, without the hassle of a credit check. Basis will never base your eligibility on a credit score or ask for your social security number. All it takes is a U.S.-based bank account to get started!

What makes Basis different? For one, Basis will never check your credit score or require a social security number. All it takes to get started is a U.S.-based bank account that has been active for at least 90 days. There is also no income requirement to qualify for Basis.

Whenever you have a bill or need help paying for a treatment, just ask your dental provider about Basis and they’ll send you an invitation via text or email to set up your Basis account. To check how much financing you’re eligible for, simply enter your online banking credentials into our secure portal and within minutes you’ll receive a credit limit. Enter the amount of your bill, the repayment terms that suit you best, and your dental provider gets paid! Just repay your loan over time, and that’s it!

No, Basis will never check your credit (hard or soft) as part of the approval process.

No, Basis does not require a social security number.

No! When you secure a loan through Basis, there is no downpayment. You pay $0 upfront!

Once your dental provider sends you an invitation to create a Basis account, you’ll securely link your online bank account to our portal. Basis will then review your transaction history to determine your financing limit. We strongly recommend connecting a bank account that you deposit your paychecks into because accounts that display frequent and consistent deposits are more likely to get approved for a higher financing limit.

There is no limit to the number of loans qualified customers can have. The maximum amount that a qualified customer can borrow for all loans at the same time is $10,000.00.

No, there is no income requirement to qualify for Basis.

Qualified customers enjoy favorable interest rates, starting as low as 0%. No approved customer will ever have an interest rate higher than 9%!

Yes! You can select the repayment frequency that works best for you. Select from monthly, semi-monthly (2x a month), or bi-weekly (every 2 weeks).

Any U.S.-based checking account that has been active for at least 90 days is eligible for Basis.

Yes, we ensure that your banking information is kept secure by utilizing bank-level data protection technology provided by our security partner Plaid. For more information on Plaid’s security measures, please visit https://plaid.com/how-we-handle-data/

You will not receive a bill in the mail. All correspondence, including payment reminders, will be sent to you via the email address and phone number that are linked to your account. Within your Basis account, you’ll have access to your loan agreement and full payment schedule.

Basis is not able to adjust your approved amount. However, if you are moving forward with a treatment that is higher than your approved amount, you can ask your dental provider about paying the difference with an alternate payment method.

You can find a copy of your loan agreement in the Loan Details section of your Basis account.

Repayments are automatically withdrawn on the selected repayment schedule (i.e., monthly, semi-monthly) from the connected bank account on file. Basis will notify you via email and text 2 days prior to the payment being withdrawn.

Yes, you can make additional payments or pay off the total outstanding balance on your loan(s) by logging into your Basis account and selecting the Pay Now button. There is no prepayment penalty to repay your Basis loan early!

Repayment terms vary between 4–24 months, depending on the amount of your loan.

Yes, you can change an upcoming payment’s due date depending on your repayment frequency.

 

Monthly — up to 3 weeks from the original due date.

Semi-monthly or biweekly — up to 1 week from the original due date.

If you decide not to proceed with treatment, your dental provider will need to notify/refund Basis for the applicable refund amount. Once Basis is refunded, your loan will either be adjusted or canceled and the connected bank account on file will be refunded accordingly.

No, if you obtain more than one loan with Basis, your payments will NOT be combined. For example, if you obtained a $500 loan today and had previously obtained a $2500 loan six months earlier, each loan would have a separate payment schedule with separate loan terms (the amount of time you would repay Basis for each loan). Your $500 loan would be required to be repaid in 4 months while the $2500 loan would be required to be repaid in 12  months.

Yes, you can schedule your payments to take place on the same date. However, as referenced in the previous question, each loan payment will operate on separate terms. For multiple loans Basis cannot consolidate payments.

By clicking I agree I am signing this Testimonials Release, and giving Basis LLC permission to use my first and last name, my photograph and the testimonial statement about Basis services (collectively, the “information”) for marketing and promotional purposes.

Additionally, you agree to the following:

Basis may use the Information on its web site, in print publications and other advertising
and promotional materials and media (the “Publications”).

Basis may disclose the Information to employees and agents working on its behalf to
develop the Publications.

Publications incorporating the Information will remain the property of Basis and there are
no restrictions on the number of times that the Information may be used.

This Testimonial Release will be in effect for so long as Basis uses the Information.

You may revoke this Testimonial Release at any time by sending written notification to
Basis. Your revocation will not apply to prior uses of the Information, but it will prevent
future uses of the Information.

Your refusal to sign this Testimonial Release will not affect your ability to use Basis, or
any other services or products provided by Basis.

Once the Information is disclosed, it will no longer be protected by federal or state
privacy law and may be subject to re-disclosure by others.

You represent that you have the legal authority to release the Information and you
hereby release and discharge Basis from all claims, costs and liabilities arising from its
use of the Information in the Publications.
